TRANSFORMATIONS & GEOMETRIC PROOF

CCSS

CCSS bases the concept of congruence on rigid motions, so before the familiar congruence postulates and theorems, students must identify the transformation set necessary to move one figure onto the second, with justification.  This does lead to the standard congruence theorems, which can then be used to prove further results.   We will practice exploring and reasoning about congruence from multiple perspectives, with assistance of the NSPIRE app on the IPAD - hands-on.  For many of us, this will be a challenge.  Come take the challenge with us.
